IBL Skateboards wanted to increase sales and draw more clients. Using Wix website builder I delivered a website that increased slaes numbers by 22% and more than doubled the number of clients.

IBL Skateboards is the biggest skate factory in Brazil. They work closely with professional athletes to maintain a high standard for their skateboards. But after covid, the skating market has been hit and IBL needed to increase sales and bring in new clients.
They did not had a website nor a e-commerce, every sale and order was made via phonecall or whatsapp. That needed to change, so with the company´s CEO we started to research the best platform for the website and what features it needed to have. 2 features became the focus for this project: an e-commerce for end-customers and a separate e-commerce for skate shops. Here´s the caveat we found out when talking to shops that already were our clients, the end-customers cannot have access to the shops e-commerce because the prices were different.
The tool of choice for the website is Wix Website Builder. With that defined now came the time to figure out how to have 2 sepparete e-commerce and one of them having limited access for skate shops only. After some research and digging I found that Wix has a members area that can be added to the website, this members area allows to give roles to each member and depending on the role given by the admin (in this case, IBL) he can have access to web pages that others can´t! This allowed us to give a role to skate shops where they can access the shop´s e-commerce but the end-users can´t because they won´t have that role.

With that solved now it´s time to build the website´s architecture, create a prototype, test it and having all green lights, launch it!
The architecture is quite simple, being that the goal was to have a basic e-commerce with the minimal pages needed for it. For the prototype there is another section in my portfolio where the redesign is detailed and my thought process for it. Testing was done with our CS team and a couple of reliable clients that provided important feedback about the website and the process of creating a new order.
With that done, the site was launched on June 2023 and since then, sales increased by 22% and the number of clients and skateshops more than doubled.
Conta Azul is a brazilian cloud based managment business tool. Their website is a little bland and stale, with little interactions, excessive repeating and way too many "talk to us" options. So I decided to make the experience more pleasant.
IBL Skateboards is the biggest skate shape factory in Brazil. They got constant requests about the measurements of their skateboards.
So I crafted an interactive shape guide using Figma that assisted clients to have a better knowledge of IBL´s products.

Old size guide, all cluttered and on a Excell spreadsheet
Clients frequently ask for the measurments of IBL´s skateboards and altough they have a spreadsheet, it´s not very eye catching nor friendly to see a spreadsheet full of numbers and tables. For that reason I took the initiative to create a interactive prototype in figma, using variables, components, animations to give our clients a more refined, pleasant and professional experience when looking at our skateboard chart.
New guide with a cleaner look and easy to find what shape you want through the filters
I started as I always do, paper and pencil, making sketches and taking notes of what elements need to be in this guide, checking with our sales team if I got all the info we need and what else should be added. After that I go to Figma where it all starts to come to fruition, a prototype is built using variables, auto layout and create components for consistency.
After some user testing and checking with the CEO we got a finished prototype! We got positive feedback form customers about the ease of use and information available.
IBL wanted to manage knowledge in an effective, online and easy to update tool. I developed a Webflow website to fullfill that desire. Using CMS, there is no knowledge required in designing, just log in, create a new CMS item and the Process Guide is updated.

Knowledge is power as it´s said. And losing knowledge can be critical for any company, be it by having it only on paper or a long time emplyee that retires or leaves the company.
To avoid that, a solution was proposed, a Webflow website where a company´s account will have access to add new entries and all knowledge and process are now stored there through CMS, so no design and coding expertise is needed to add new data in it.
